In 1979, the The American Homebrewers Association (AHA) originally claimed National Homebrew Day to be the first Saturday in May. On May 7, 1988, Congress officially recognized National Homebrew Day. Homebrewers around the world use the day to celebrate beer and brewing and attract attention to their hobby. At Noon, C.S.T., homebrewers toast simultaneously. |

8th Annual Summer Solstice Brew is on Saturday, June 19, 2010! POINT BREW SUPPLY IS CLOSED ON THIS DAY, SO GET YOUR SUPPLIES AHEAD OF TIME PLEASE.
This event is in a park setting and is fun for the whole family. Grills are provided for grilling. Please bring your own food. We are looking forward to brewing with you. Hope to see you there! National Teach a Friend to Homebrew Day & Help us Raise money and food for the local food pantries. Please bring non-perishable items to be donated to operation boot strap and stop down for lunch and buy a plate, all money will go directly to Operation Bootstrap of Portage County.
The American Homebrewers Association (AHA) Teach a Friend to Homebrew Day is an international event to introduce people to the homebrewing hobby and establish relationships with local homebrew supply shops. Each year on the first Saturday in November, homebrewers around the world are encouraged to invite non-brewing and brewing friends and family to celebrate Teach a Friend to Homebrew Day and brew a batch of beer together.
